Ferndale Is Named One of America’s 10 Most Charming Small Towns

The Ferndale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share that the Victorian Village, located in the heart of Northern California’s redwood coast, has been named one of the top 10 most charming small towns in America!
In a new ranking by the travel insurance company InsureMyTrip, small towns across the United States were evaluated on criteria such as “spaciousness, peacefulness, festivals and ratings of local cafes and restaurants.”

Ferndale made the initial cut as one of America’s top 75 small towns with the highest online search volume, according to the company. From there, Ferndale advanced to the top 10 with a score of 7.05/10, joining other winners including Cannon Beach, Oregon, Cape May, New Jersey, and Sun Valley, Idaho.
Additional criteria included town size, area safety, quality of hotels, and number of parades.
“For many travelers, getting away from the hustle and bustle of a city to a charming small town is the perfect escape to enjoy some peace and quiet,” InsureMyTrip says, noting that the Pacific Northwest performed strongly in the ranking. “The area is known for its lush forests, coastlines, and wetter climates, where you can find the perfect opportunity for either adventurous photography or cozying up during fall.”
