THE ARTS in Ferndale

Artists have long been drawn to the beauty and charm of historic Ferndale! It was a local artist, Viola Russ McBride, who lobbied to preserve the Victorian Village’s famous architecture when so many cities across America were tearing down historic buildings in the name of modernization. Today, Ferndale carries on the same tradition of respect for historical preservation and artistic freedom with a thriving and diverse community of artists and fine art galleries including The Blacksmith Shop, Elyon, Ferndale Arts, Redeye Laboratories (Shawn Griggs) and more.
