The holidays just got BRIGHTER as the Humboldt County Fairgrounds announces its First Annual Holiday of Trees Bazaar & Holiday Light Driving and Walking Tour! This enchanting event will open its gates the day after Thanksgiving for the first time, after months of planning, inviting families, friends to experience local vendors, a chance to view and bid on fully decorated trees, food, seasonal drinks, kids corner and a dazzling display of lights!
Experience the Magic of the Season with a Festive Drive-Thru and Walking Tour Every summer we enjoy The Humboldt County Fair, but now there is a new exciting reason to visit the Historic Fairgrounds, in Winter! Replacing the show animals and summer exhibits will be 1000’s of lights bringing the North-pole a little closer to Humboldt County. Kicking off with the Holiday of Trees Bazaar a variety of trees will line the walls of Belotti Hall. Skip pulling your tree out of the attic or trying to find enough ornament hangers, these beautiful, fully decorated, themed trees can be purchased in a silent auction and delivered to your home or business. Don’t need a tree, don’t worry there will be local vendors, a kids corner and a chance to meet Santa. Not to mention yummy holiday food treats and adult beverages available in our Hot Toddy Corner. (Nov. 29-Dec. 1st)
Additionally lights will line the familiar grounds, with season greetings for all visitors walking or driving the whole holiday season! The SPARKLING LIGHT SPECTACULAR, month long happening, will be a wonderful reason to come out during the colder months to be warmed by the glow of the holiday spirit. Event Highlights:
• Holiday of Trees Bazaar: This indoor event is in Belotti Hall. Holiday trees will be on display and ready for silent auction. Local vendors, live music, food and drink, kids corner and meet Santa.
• Cookies & Hot Chocolate: To add even more holiday cheer, cookies and hot chocolate will be offered at our gates.
• Drive-Thru Light Display: Rain or Shine from the comfort of their own vehicles, visitors can drive through an illuminated path lined with sparkling lights, and festive music available on FM transmitted radio. Perfect for families, even in the rain!
• Walking Tour: For those who want a more immersive experience, the walking tour offers a chance to stroll through the light displays, take photos, and on Friday & Saturday Night, Irish coffees or a Hot-Toddy.
“We are thrilled to bring a new Wintertime event to the Fairgrounds,” says CEO, Moira Kenny, “Our goal was to create an all-weather permitting, family-friendly experience beyond our Summer Fair season, an event that lights up the hearts of our community.”
