Ferndale veterans and other organizations coordinate the 10 a.m. parade, followed by a memorial ceremony at the Ferndale Cemetery and a return parade to the Veterans Memorial Building.
Ferndale has had a long tradition of honoring those who died during their service fighting for our country with a parade and memorial service. This tradition has been held in Ferndale for over 130 consecutive years. In the past, Main Street has been filled with people honoring the flag and service men and women as they passed down Main Street. Hundreds of people would gather at the Cemetery to hear the Memorial Service and watch the honor guard complete the rifle salute to Honor those who have given the Ultimate Sacrifice for our Country followed by Taps.
