103 years ago, Ferndale's Joe Oeschger set a pitching record that'll never be broken. He pitched 26 innings for the Boston Braves in a game that lasted just less than 4 hours. It ended in a tie. It was called due to darkness because in 1920 stadiums didn't have lights.
We'll celebrate Joe in Ferndale on Saturday May 20th at the 2nd annual Oeschger Day.
