Explore the intricacies of wine with a guided tasting seminar of distinctive wines that are produced right here in Humboldt County. Wine educator and sommelier Pam Long will lead us on an interactive and informative educational journey covering grape varieties and the locations where they are grown. Pam will share details about the wineries and each winemaker's particular production styles.
Pam will cover tasting techniques while we discuss the nuances of each wine, including its aroma, flavor profile, body, and finish. We will begin with Briceland Vineyards 2023 Rose of Pet Nat of Pinot Noir. A delightful Cabot Vineyard 2016 Pinot Noir will follow the delicate Pet Nat. We will savor a 2021 Miles Garrett Malbec made with dry farmed grapes from Willow Creek AVA. A full-bodied 2015 Moonstone Crossing Merlot with a great story and big personality will conclude our tasting adventure.
We will enjoy a robust cheese and charcuterie spread with Brio breads, crackers, including GF, and an assortment of darn tasty nibbles that will complement the wines and your experience.
Space is limited and Pam’s seminars are quite popular.
Register by February 9 to take advantage of the early bird seminar registration price of $45 ($55 thereafter). Register here or in person at Sitka Wine Lounge, 475 Main Street, Ferndale CA.
