Dreamgirls

A musical film that follows the rise of The Dreamettes, a promising girl group (Jennifer Hudson, Beyoncé Knowles, Anika Noni Rose) that gets scouted by an ambitious manager (Jamie Foxx) who takes control of the group, forcing the singers into the spotlight. Through their manipulative manager, The Dreams quickly realize that the cost of fame may be much higher than they ever imagined. Dreamgirls was written and directed by Bill Condon, and premiered in 2006.
